I see on reflectors and opinion boards some hams absolutely abhor the term "73's." They usually blame it on new hams not following old amateur radio
tradition. The term "73's" is regarded as bad form as "73" means best regards so "73's" would mean "best regardses." Some are even further irritated by the term "Best 73's" as this is redundant, "Best Best Regardses."
Use of the term "73's" to some hams is the equivalent of running fingernails over a chalkboard and goes against the grain of the amateur tradition passed down by the OMs
many years before us.

If you believe "73's" is not a term from ham tradition based on the OMs of long ago, they must have had a lot of lids back then.
